The Renaissance features 58 spacious suites within a three-story building originally constructed in 1963 as a multi-family apartment complex. In 1998, the building was fully redesigned and upgraded to serve its current purpose. Situated on over an acre of land, the grounds offer a range of amenities, from the circular drive and beautifully landscaped front yard to the courtyard’s deck, water fountain, rose garden, and visitor parking. At the rear of the building, you’ll find both open and covered parking for residents, along with additional landscaped areas for relaxation.

The building offers a variety of amenities, including an 1,800-square-foot dining room with seating for 86 that stretches from the front of the building facing Esquimalt Road to the patio deck in the courtyard. Adjacent to the dining room are the library, lounge, and billiard room, all of which also open to the courtyard deck. Nearby, you’ll find the Guest Suite, available for residents’ visitors at a nominal rate of $125 per night. Just off the courtyard lobby are the mailroom and hair salon, where mail is delivered daily before lunch, and the salon is open every Tuesday, providing services for both men and women.

 

 

Monthly Rental Fees

Each of our 58 suites is uniquely designed, offering nine different floor plans to choose from. Some suites overlook the courtyard, while others provide views of Esquimalt Road. As a result, monthly rental fees vary based on suite size, view, and floor location. Our suites are spacious, with studio suites offering 525 sq. ft., one-bedroom suites ranging from 620 to 745 sq. ft., and two-bedroom suites providing a generous 860 sq. ft. of living space.

Second person charge is $750. Monthly rental fees do not include lunch which is available for an additional $250/month. You are also more than welcome to drop in for a small fee.

Our Neighbourhood

The Renaissance is ideally situated in the heart of Esquimalt, directly across from the Esquimalt Plaza shopping center. The plaza offers convenient access to a Country Grocer, pharmacy, bank, bakery, coffee shop, and liquor store. As the hub of business and commerce in Esquimalt, the surrounding area is vibrant and active. City Hall, the recreation center, and the sports arena are all just a 3-minute walk away, placing essential services and activities right at your doorstep.

Esquimalt is one of four core municipalities of Greater Victoria on Vancouver Island. Esquimalt is situated just west of the City of Victoria. Known as Canada’s West Coast naval military headquarters, Esquimalt has a history, rich in maritime legends and pioneer spirit. Esquimalt, being a port, offers terrific waterfront parks and fantastic views of the ocean.

Saxe Point, a short walk from the Renaissance, is well known throughout the area as an excellent vantage point to enjoy a picnic. West Bay is the start of a waterfront walkway that leads to the famous Empress Hotel.
